HI,
Some iclude program are not allowing me to delete a piece of code. What I see are buttons on top that say insert , replace , delete etc . When I select some code and hit delete ,,, all that happens is that code is getting commented . This is happening in ecc6.0 , in 4.6c , I am not even able to see the "insert, replace delete" buttons .
What is the reason and how to delete code.
THank you

Thats is called Modification Assistance. This is helpful when you have to change some Standard deliver code.
You may learn about this in the below thread -
Just got this good explaination from Ravi in one of the thread -
Modification generally refer to a change that is done to a standard sap program when it fails to meet some user requirement.
When we do a modififcation, we actually change the standard code of the program. The changes will be overwritten when the user goes for an upgrade or when he applies a service pack.
SAP provides an access key for modification and the customer does it.
P.S. - Please search the forum before posting the query.

As the source ssytem is different from the one you are developing now, it will behave like it does for Repair an SAP object. CHange entry in TADIR for the field SRCSYSTEM to your current SAP SID for yoru custom Z programs
