Hello Experts,

I am configuring SMTP (SAP connect) on CRM 5.0 as per the documentation of SAP note 455140. It is showing an error as Due to a technical fault, the system could not set up a connection to the RFC destination Check port and mail server for SMTP nodes. Therefore, the message could not be transferred to node SMTP. The error message no. is XS816.

And one more thing, our mail server is in U.S. we have a exchange server in INDIA, how to establish a connection to our mail server, so that e-mail can be send.

How to check the connection from SAP system to node SMTP.

Do we need to establish a RFC connection to our mail server or exchange server, if so can anyone please help me.

Thanks in Advance

Pavan

hello Sudheer,

Thanks for ur reply, i created 2 parameters as per note 455140, from 6.2 version there is no necessity to create all parameters as mentioned in help.sap.com.

icm/server_port_<*> = PROT=SMTP,PORT=<port>

is/SMTP/virt_host_0 = *:25000;

while creating an RFC type of TCP/IP, it is asking a program name, I am not able to find any program as Mlunxsnd, can u please provide any help regarding this.
