Hi,

A group condition calculates the basis for determining scale values by combining the line items.

Consider the situation where there are 2 items which are under same material group with quantities 100 and 150. And in SKTO, the scales are defined as from peice 1-200 a% discount and from 200 - 400 b % ( b > a).

If SKTO is not a group condition, the discount will be applied individually and only a% would have been applied. As SKTO is Cash discount percentage condition,system combines the grouped materials quantity (250) and applies the percentage (b%) which is the next scale.

Krishna, thanks for the info on group conditions even though I do know what a group condition is. I need to know why SAP has SKTO as a group condition. It's Condition category E tells SAP to process it in a special way. Usually, atleast, in the standard system there are no access sequences to this condition plus this is not a header condition. Then why does it have to be a group condition? Hope I am clear. Let me know if I am missing something.
