Simple question - How to create table maintenance screen

I have to enter data in a transparent table. The data needs to be validated before insertion. How it can be done? Today is my first day as ABAPer.

Hi Gary,

If you are talking about the field type validations, you need to create the variables being inserted as of the same data element as in the table. For eg. if you want to insert into a date field, the variable or the internal table field should be of the same data type i.e, DATUM. This will take care of the system validations.

You can assing a search help to the field in the table or you can assign value table to the domain and establiish a forigen ke relation ship so that value table become a check table .
