Hi,
Use the settings in the Box and Shading group box .It creates a box.
For shading change the saturation settings, give some percentage based on shading.

HI Aarav,
In the smartform U will assign the style for u r smart form right.
When u are creating the style create a paragrah stly with color grey.
Apply this style to u r headting of table.
Then colour will be displaed.

Go to the output tab of text in header line. give saturation % in shading box, Grey color will come on basis of saturation % .

Actually the line what I am trying to shade is in the main window and when I go in the output tab of each of the texts and try doing it , it says boes/shading not allowed within the table'. I need to shade the line heading in the main window.
Thanks

Ok. If you want to shade the header part of the smartforms, create another window at same co-ordinates as the header part and create one template of header ( or you can create a text box with blank value). You can shade the window.
This window will overwrite the header part of main window. It will look as if you have shaded on the header.
Thanks & regards
