Sending notification as task from report

Hi All,

         I need to send the notifications to the user which will be placed as a task in user's portal. The message which is to be displayed in the notification will be fetched from program and sent to user's portal.This task should be triggered from the report program .Please guide me to proceed in this as am new to workflow.

Anitha,

If the requirement is just send a mail notification, you might not need a workflow.

You can use Function modules or class methods to do so.

If you need some approval process also, then you can think of a workflow.
