Experts,
I would like to know about the future of SEM components and releases.
BI-IP is being talked about replacing BPS.So would BPS become obsolete in future? so would other components in SEM? Any opinions on this?

From a generic planning solution, BI-IP has replaced BPS and is the direction going forward. Additionally, with SAP BPC (Outlooksoft), there is a lot of flexibility. For a comparison and roadmap questions around this, see this blog:

If you have more specific questions after checking the blog, let me know...

Prakash

Hi,
Well when u say replace BPS with BI IP then let me tell you SAP will not bring you something totally new from the BPS . It will provide some enhancements or added features. So if you know BPS i dont think it will be difficult to BI IP .
Decide if u want to award points or close the issues.

Hi ragav,
Please have a look at the <a href="/people/ryan.leask/blog/2007/09/03/what-is-cpm-and-what-is-happening-with-sem-and-bi-integrated-planning I posted today, and see if that helps answer some of your questions.
Regards,
Ryan
