Can anyone here please let me know the concept of linking a logical database to a program.I mean its fucntionality.

Logical databases are programs which provide you with a selection screen and help to fetch data from logically linked tables.

The data is fetched from tables which are related in a hierarchical fashion.

you can use the selection screen provided by teh logical database used in your report or add/over-ride your own selection criteria.

hi,

In the program attributes give the LDB name in Logical Data Base parameter.

Hi

After entering the Program name in SE38 tcode>create>Attributes

tab there you will find the logical database input field .Enter the logical database name there.
