Selecting ALV Fields to display

Dear All,

The requirement is that In ALV Output, by default some fields need to be displayed,There should be an option in the output screen,so that user will select other fields he wants to display.How this can be done??

<i>In the internal table there are 40 fields and by default on execution of the report only 5 fields need to be displayed and the user shud be given the option of selecting other fields which he wants to be displayed in the output.</i>Please help me on how to go about it..

Its an urgent issue...

Hi,

This can be achieved in two ways -

1. Create a Default variant with all other 35 fields hiding and on execution call it.So, user can change the display by selecting changle layout.

2. check the report RPLICO10, it is doing the same very efficiently with the help of dynamic programming.

which fields you dont want to display first use ifieldcat-no_out = 'X' for those 35 fields.

in reuse alv i_save = 'A' to save or choose your layout . now set your layout as per needed.
