Segment extension

Hi All

I had created an customized IDoc with customized segments.Now the requirement is to change the customized segments and include new fields.The IDoc and segment is already released.Please advise if to add the new fields can i modify the segment or i have to go for a new segment and Idoc.

Once it is released, you cannot modify/add new fields to the segment. You need to cancel the release or you need to create new one.

Enter the segment type

Form the Menu Click on Edit -> Cancel Release

And after that you can appened new fields.

Hi Kumar,

IDOC type(WE30): Select the IDOC type and say Edit>cancel release>make changes-->set release.

Segment Changes (WE31): Select the segment in which u want to add new.

Say Edit>cancel release. Add the fields. And say Edit>set Release.
