Determining transport request for saved text element

I want to see to which Transport request particular save Text element is associated.

How can I do this ?

Hi Tushar,

Please note that Text elements will be transported in a different way.

You have to run program : RSTXTRAN and assign them to a transport.

Have you transported your text element by using the above .

Can I get little bit more details as how to do tranport for tect elements ?

When I go and execute RSTXTRAN it askes me for name of correction, text key object, text key name. So what do I do to transport text element say z_label_address associated with a given Tranport request number.

If I have ten text elements associated with a given tranport number, do I have to transport each text element one by one associating with each TR number.

Hi Tushar,

When you execute RSTXTRAN Please add the following :

Name : z_label_address

Object : TEXT

ID : ST

Language : EN or the language text is created

Then --> You will find button at left hand caorner as "Transfer TEXT to Correction" Perss this --> this will ask you TranSport number.

One more doubt Lanka.

So if say there are three text elements associated with transport Request number ERK9087 say Z1, Z2 and Z3.

Correct me if I am wrong..

1) First we will tranport Request ERK9087.

2) Then, got to RSTRXTRAN and then execute the report for each text associating with ERK9087.

Since here there are three texts , hence we do tranport 3 times for each text. (Total 4 times first in step 1 and three in step 2)

Hi Tushar,

Please note that you can assign n no.of texts to one transport at one time.

Please check your transport that contain Z1, Z2, and Z3 then when you release the CTS all the three texts will be transported.

IF your CTS has Z1 and Z2 and you want to assign Z3 then you have run program and when the system ask for CTS choose your CTS which has already associated with Z1 and Z2.

Just to add a little more, by design standard text which you maintain via S010 are not transportable by default, which is why it does not ask for a transport request when you create them. That said, it is possible that the text in question may not even exists on a transport request. Lanka has of course given you the way to put these standard text on transports.

The system will allow you to create these texts in a productive system, which eliminates the need to transport them.
