In the search help we have importing and exporting option.

select the exporting option for the field which you want to get the alues when you select

ie: select the exporting tick mark for the reuired field.

yes: the 2 fields must belong to same DDIC structure, where they need to refer to the search help.

hi thank you for your response.

the search help is fine and works correctly.

The issue is can the search help populate fields on the web dynpro other then the field to which the search help is tied to.

I don't really understand. You must change either the dynpro or the search help or both to make it work. But maybe I don't answer correctly because I only know the classic search helps, maybe there is something different with web dynpros?
