hi ,
i got that fixed i have one more question . i was checking
FM F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE
IN THE SOURCE CODE IT HAS
""Lokale Schnittstelle:
*" TABLES
*" SHLP_TAB TYPE SHLP_DESCR_TAB_T
*" RECORD_TAB STRUCTURE SEAHLPRES
*" CHANGING
*" VALUE(SHLP) TYPE SHLP_DESCR_T
*" VALUE(CALLCONTROL) LIKE DDSHF4CTRL
*" STRUCTURE DDSHF4CTRL
CHANGING VALUE
BUT I HAVE
""Local interface:
*" TABLES
*" SHLP_TAB TYPE SHLP_DESCR_TAB_T
*" RECORD_TAB STRUCTURE SEAHLPRES
*" CHANGING
*" REFERENCE(SHLP) TYPE SHLP_DESCR_T
*" REFERENCE(CALLCONTROL) LIKE DDSHF4CTRL STRUCTURE DDSHF4CTRL
REFERENCE.
DOES IT MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE
please let me know
thanks

Hi,
I think it shoudn't be problem..If you pass by reference or pass by value..
But anyways..Execute the search help and check if it is working fine..
Please make sure to reward points for helpful answers..

hi narendran,
its working fine . i awarded points to all.
i have one last question
get parameter id 'PAR' field plant_val.
itab[] = record_tab[].
if not record_tab[] is initial.
delete itab where werks <> plant.
record_tab[] = itab[].
endif.
I WAS READING ONE THE PREVIOUS POST AND IT SAID I HAVE TO SET THE PARAMETER TO SPACE IMMEDIATELY AFTER GET PARAMTER
can you tell when should i set the paramter PAR TO SPACE
EVERYTIME THE VALUE OF PLANT_VALUE IS EMPTY. SO I SET THE PARAMETER PAR TO SPACE IMMEDIATELY AFTER
GET PARAMETER THEN MY DELETE SATEMENT DOESN'T WORK
LET ME KNOW
THANKS

Hi,
Why do you have to set the parameter to space..I believe in this case..You should not..Because if the user presses F4 several times..The first time you will filter the data accordingly with the plant..But for the second time you will not be filtering the data with the plant..
So do not clear the parameter value..Meaning don't set the parameter to space..

Hi Narendran,
i understand what you are talking about.
but i am curious to know whether we can leave a value in the memory.
thanks

Hi,
I believe it should be okay..It will be cleared when the user logs off.
Which parameter ID you are using...
You can also try using EXPORT ..TO MEMORY...And IMPORT ..FROM MEMORY..If it is just one session..
Thanks,
Naren
