Can anyone tell me about the SAP search engine service TREX.Whether it is available with R/3 or not.What are the features of TREX.can anyone forward the documentation on this

Hi Rich and Daniel,

I found that this component is a part of Netweaver.Can you please tell me whether this component comes in built with R/3 or do we need to install it.also is there any other third party tool available which can be used for fuzzy search in R/3.when i search customers by address attributes(fuzzy search) i get a message 'No active external product for the fuzzy search'.what would be the best solution for this.

Hi,

Its not within R/3 .It is a part of SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS) ABAP .But it can be accessed via API's of SAP .

Can you please elaborate regarding the use of TREX using SAP API methods.what is the procedure to access it with an example.I appreciate your replies
