SE16_DUMP : SYNTAX_ERROR : Syntax error in program "SAPLSETB ".

Hi Experts,

We are facing dump while executing SE16 transaction , dump is "Syntax error in program "SAPLSETB ".

This dump is coming when we try to execute SE16 , it is not allowing to go ahead.

Can you kindly guide to resolve this dump?

SE16N is working but SE16 not working.

How can we resolve the dump for SE16 , also users do not have access to SE16N.

Forgot to mention. If it is a Z* table then go to SE14 and activate and adjust there.

Also... is this happening for all tables?

This is happening for all tables:

If You download huge no. of data's from the table ....... Standrad function it will give dump error only....

Try downloading with minimum of data's .

This error is occurring at first execution of SE16 itself before giving table name to SE16.

This error is in function group SETB , is there any way to restore original version of standard SAP program.

I suspect the issue is coming after execution of "RS_TABLE_REPORT_GENERATE" of FM.

Any way to resolve this dump?

Yes there is error as this is standard program we cannot change anything.

Anyway you need to check if there's a sap note solves that error or you need to open a message to SAP by OSS

Try to regenerate the program as mentioned in note 27544.

SE16 -> Table -> Program Generation

Sanjana,

Did you try 'Rebuilding' the entire Function Group. Sometimes, it is due to some discrepancies in Function group generation. Goto SE80, enter 'SETB' as function group. Once displayed, right click & select Other Functions --> Rebuild Object List.

This will either rectify the error or point you to the exact error code line.

If you want to know if there is an OSS note, log onto SAP Support and search for yourself. Since this is a standard SAP report, you need to report to SAP if you can't find an OSS note.
