i change the colomn from char 10 to sydatum and i get the right data but without '.' (point)
as 20090609 and the description of old header of char 10 (it's happend in se16n) why..
when i double click on the row i get the right data as 09.06.2004 why???

can u please post the table definition row for that field?? (in SE11)??
and then please explain the problem. its kind of confusing...

Hi,
Goto UTILITIES - > Database Object - > Database utility
here just Activate and adjust database with save data

Usually when you use SE14, and choose "Active and adjust database" with option "Save data" it should work.
Re-generate the table maintenance generator and try adjusting the database again i..e SE14 with above options. This should work. Table definition can be active independent of activation in SE14.

Hi sikken,
The length of the sydatum is only 8 with datatype DATS, thats why it is showing the value as 20090609
whose length is also equal to 8 and it is showing 09.06.2009 on double clicking on row because the output length is 10.
go to syst table and check for sydatum field , there double click on sydatum u can see the lenght and output length. hope this is clear.
