Screen Exit

Hello experts,

There are quite a bit of questions posted on this subject but found none that would resolve my question. I want to create a new tab for the change equipment screen ( IE01, IE02, IE02) to post a new field. I've already created the new project with enhancement ITOB0001. The documentation for this enhancement only show how to add fields in the new tab (screen exit) but doesn't explain how to create the new tab. Please advise.

Hi,

Screen exits allow you to add your own fields to specified screens in standard R/3 transactions. To take advantage of customer-specific <b>subscreens</b>, you first need to create projects as described in the section Creating an add-on project. Then, you must include the SAP enhancement that contains the screen exit you want to use in your project. From the main screen of the Project management transaction, proceed as follows:

1. Select Enhancement components and choose Change.

The system lists all customer exits contained in the enhancements included in your project.

2. Place the cursor on the screen exit you want to create your own subscreen for.

3. Choose Edit component.

The system prompts you to enter a development class for your subscreen. Use the development class that contains all of the objects created for this specific enhancement project. The system then transfers you to the Screen Painter.

4. Create your subscreen using the Screen Painter.

5. Add modules to the screen flow logic as needed.

Enter the name of the module in the flow logic editor, then double-click on the module name and the system automatically creates the module in the corresponding function module program.

6. Generate your screen and choose Back (the green arrow) to return to the Project management transaction.

Once you activate your enhancement project, the fields defined in your subscreen will appear in the standard R/3 transaction.

Go to IMG > Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Master data in Plant Maintenance .. >Technical Objects > General Data > Set View Profiles for Technical Objects.

In this change view, select 'screen group equipment data' record and double click on folder Activity and layout views. This will give you a list of all the tabs. I just add another tab there with the sequence number you want (from the pull down list).

HI,

I am working on the same and when I try to create subscreen system prompt a message that "the log on language different from original language (original language is DE and the log on language is EN).

options are "maintain in Original language"  or "Change original language". which one do I need to select?
