Hi experts.
Let me present the following question.
At the client there are a group of documents that arrive in paper format which must be afterwards scanned into to the legacy application.
It is intended to replace the legacy application with SAP DMS.
I haven't found any relevant documentation detailing how can a document be digitalized and sent into DMS, SAP R/3 or CRM, if it is even possible at all.
Does anyone knows of a solution for this?
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
JF.

it really depends on what you want to do with these documents in SAP. If it's business documents like orders/invoices & so on, the best way would be to load them into SAP as SAP-orders SAP-invoices & so on.
If it's just documents which should exist in SAP and be available in SAP I would suggest you check "Knowledge Management" or "Knowledge Warehouse" in SAP. There is a separate forum for KM on SDN I believe.

Look at OSS note 530792 and other consulting notes for "generic object services".
