Hi sapscript & printer sages,
my client asked if it is possible to install new sapscript fonts because the customer's customer wants to have forms printed adequate to their corporate identity.
I don't know yet what they really want. In preparation, I read some documentation about saplpd used to create font metrics and later do an upload.
From all that I did not fully understand if its valid only for SAPWIN local printers. What we need are new fonts printed on some OCE printers assigned to SAP as network printers.
I'm looking for detailed description of necessary steps and/or requirements for installing new fonts, usually available as .TTF files.
Any help welcome!
best regards,
Clemens Li

When you load the .TTF file you can also define if it's going to support BOLD, ITALIC or PLAIN types of char...Be carefull because it's somehow sentitive...

Refer to note 12462 for defining new printer font.
Also check the link for fonts

Manohar,
from your answer I can read that it is not possible to use any fonts not known to the printer.
So how is it possible Windows can do all this and SAP cant't when using a network printer? Shame!
Best regards,
Clemens
P.S.: Hope somebody knows better
