SAP Unicode Conversion Project - ABAP Role

Dear Experts,

I understood the steps involved in Unicode Conversion Project from various posts. It involves steps like UCCHECK(to check ABAP code) and SPUMG/SUMG (to check database consistency and Vocabulary ).

Can you please tell me if both of the above mentioned steps are performed by ABAP team or if there is anything else as well ?

Hello Deepak,

In my experience, the UCCHECK as well as the SPUMG/SUMG are performed by the SAP Basis team.

However the resolution of the UCCHECK findings is usually a responsibility of the SAP ABAP team, whereas the resolution of the SPUMG/SUMG is usually a business responsibility.
