Hello ALL !!!!!!!!!

I AM VINAY MAITHANI , AN ELECTRONICS ENGINEER WITH 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENTS FOR THE AUTOMATION AND INSTRUMENATATION DEPARTMENT IN A STEEL PLANT.

I HAVE SOME BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF SAP SYSTEM AND ABAP/4 PROGRAMMING CONCEPTS.

RECENTLY I HAVE DECIDED TO GO FOR CERTIFICATION COURSE IN SAP....considering my job profile i feel comfortable in PLANT MAINTENANCE.

Which is the best place for Training???

1 GENOVATE,mumbai

2 SIEMENS INFO. LEARNING SYSTEMS,hyderabad

3 SAP banglore

Wat are there plus and -ve points???

are there any more destinations for training????

is this decesion to go for SAP certification strategic enough at this juncture?

Hoping for HELP from SAP community and Fraternity

Hi Vinay,

Welcome to SAP & SDN.

Its a good idea to take certifications. Certifications are kind of a must if you want to work for internatiional companies or consulting firms. Certified consultants are always preferred over than non certified consultants.

Genovate, Seimens and SAP are almost the same as gemovate and seimens are authorized training centers so any one of them should be fine. I hope u r aware of the course fee in these institutes. Its close to 2.5 lakhs a module.

if you are good in Plant maintenance then get certified in PM. Thats very much in demand and very few people with good extensive knowledge in PM.

There is always 100 + points and 100 - ve points. Dont worry on all those. If you are confident enough to take it forward forget about the pros and cons.

There will always be Up's and downs so dont worry. Get in the swimingpool and guess u will start learninh swimming on ur own

ITS REALLY NICE TO HERE THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED TO GO FOR SAP CERTIFICATION COURSE.BESICALLY PEOPLE TRY TO AVOID THIS DUE TO THE HIGH COST.

ANYWAY IF YOU WANT TO GO FOR THE PLANT MAINTENANCE THAN YOU HAVE TO GO FOR A FULL TERM FUNCTIONAL COURSE AND THAN CERTIFICATION.

IF YOU TECHNICALLY SAY THE CERTIFICATION IS NOT ESSENTIAL IN INDIA IF YOU R A EXPERIENCED PERSON IN A PARTICULAR FIELD,BUT IF YOU R DOING THE CERTIFICATION THAN THAT WOULD BE AN ADDED ADVANTAGE FOR YOUR CAREER.

SEIMENS IS THE AUTHORISED STUDY CENTRE OF SAP ,SO I HOPE THAT WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOUR CERTIFICATION AND COURSE.THEY ARE CHARGING SOMETHING AROUND 3LAKHS.

THERE IS NO POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE KIND OF THING BY STUDYING OR GETTING CERTIFICATION IN SAP.

BUT I WOULD SAY IF YOU R GOING FOR ANY THING WHEATHER IT IS COURSE OR CERTIFICATION OR BOTH YOU SHOULD BE SERIOUS ABOUT THAT , AND YOU HAVE TO KEEP ON TRY ON YOUR FIELD TILL YOU R NOT GETTING A GOOD BREAK.

I HOPE THIS WILL GIVE YOU SOME INPUTS.
