Is there any SAP proprietary Database or does the SAP use only other Databases like Oracle, DB2 etc. at its Database Server layer?

Not sure if MaxDB is SAP's or not. If so, it would be the only one.

Nop, looks like it is not SAP's. I would say that SAP does not have a proprietary DB.
