Hi Gurus,

Please help to solve the below issue.

i have reset password for one of the user. The user can login with initial password and can change the password to his desired one. If user logs off and again try to login with changed password after some time, it is giving the error like user Id and password are not correct. what could be the reason for this?

please give me a solution.

Hi,

You changed the password of the one of the users. Now the user has to login with the password which you had given. If the system asks to change the password then user has to give the password of his own.

the User Has changed his password. but after some time if he tried to login with his changed password, it is giving error. I think the password what user changed had not saved in the database. what could be the reason for this?

Try to reset the password again with the Help of Basis Team and ask user to change the password again.

See if that Works ?

I did twice this. still user is facing the problem. He can login with initial password what Basis team has provided. he can change the password also. but he is facing error when he tried login with the changed password.

Do One thing.......

Ask basis to reset the password of any other user. Then ask that user to change the password to same what affected user in this senarion is keeping.

With this we will be able to fix 2 things : -

1.Is it a User related problem

2. Is it a problem with the password string that is being enter.

Hi Lata,

Ask the user to give a new password which should not match with his previous 5 passwords that he had set to that ID.

Try this , it may work.
