IF you want to learn/practice ABAP, then you can use the NW2004s Sneak Preview system. This will allow to you learn ABAP technologies and work against a database which was designed around a Airline Company, some tables exist with data which you can use to retreive data from in your ABAP programs.

This system does not include any R/3 modules, no MM, PP, SD, FI, HR, etc. Nothing. So you only have the tecnology layer and if you are wanting to learn ABAP, that is all you need. You can get a trial version or R/3, it is called IDES, I think that you can get it at service.sap.com, but the system requirments may be more.

Download the NW2004s Sneak Preview ABAP stack here on SDN. Here is the line, you want the stuff in the last column.
