Dear Group,
I have been looking for information that advises on the minimum technical specifications for implementing and running SAP API Management on-premise.
I've looked through all the content and a lot of documents but not found anything. Could this group help to point me in the right directions?
Thanks,
Mat.

Hi Mat,
have you looked at the "Installation and Operation Guide"
http://help.sap.com/download/apim_op/SAP_API_Management_Installation_Onboarding_Guide.pdf
It has a chapter with Installation Requirements (3.2. Installation Requirements).
Here you will find a list of hardware requirements.

Holger.

Hi Holger
3.2.1 mentions SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) release version 11 SP3 is officially supported.
However if we look at Supported software | Apigee Product Documentation SLES is not supported.
Its confusing!!!
However , Anyone successfully installed on-premise version on SLES operating sytem?
Thanks & Regards

Hi Holger,
Great!, Do you intent to use RHEL or SLES or CENTOS for productive environment?
Im curious if anyone have an idea if SAP is going to release the next version (current version in SAP marketplace is 4.14.06 .. and latest version is 4.16 from Apigee).
ie. SAP marketplace contains 2 year old version (Apigee Edge Release Process | Apigee Product Documentation )
Best Regards

Hi Sujith,
please make sure that you also look under https://support.sap.com/patches
There are newer releases available!
I don't have the latest version right now, but I just checked the API Portal that I had installed some time ago and it is on version 4.15.07.00

Holger.

Just as an aside to this thread - the SUSE version was developed for SAP, which is why it is supported for SAP API Management, and not for Apigee Edge.
While there are many overlaps between the two products, not all items will be identical.
As to the versioning, 'SAP API Management by Apigee' (the official name for the OnPremises release) will roughly correspond to the latest major "feature release" by Apigee. There is typically a small delay to verify all features work with the SAP release.
