After adding T-code in the role in Development, generated the profile and transported it to Regression system but when it was transported to Production , the S_TCODE became inactive and the transaction related to the particular role were not accessible.

Do anybody suggest me ,why this was happened.

Is it happened due to transporting the changes in production during working hours or reason is some technical.............

Thanks

Manoj

I strongly belive that there should be no changes during transport.

The chnages may have come into effect only after the transportation.

Did other object also become inactive or only S_TCODE

Only S_TCODE was become Inactive.

When i was comparing the authorisation in DEV,Quality and Prod,I found that the authorisation object S_tcode is still showing active in Dev but it is showing Inactive in both Quality as well as in Production.

Make a test role with object s_tode and this time use import-export option to get it into quality server .

Check out the results immidiatelly and again after some time .

The results will explain whats the problem .

Hi,

make sure, that all the t-codes included in S_TCODE exist also in QAS and PRD (check in SE93).

Just to add to the comments:

1. inactivation of the objects --. in my experiece- happens only manually, I think some one woudl have doen that.

2. Please check the dates of change in the PFCG across the landscape-> this would explain as if the S_TCD is inactivated then the role will need to be generated again...there will be inconsistencies between the roles then.

Thanks

Hi Manoj,

Check if the associated profile has this object in it. (S_TCODE) for that tcode.

Even if someone has changed the role in QAS, and assuming the same transport request has been imported in production after i dont know what QA( if S_TCODE is inactive , how did it pass QA?, how did the tester execute the tcode?) , the role will have this object in production, unless changed and generated here too!

Do let us know how the profile looks like with the time stamps

Thank you
