Hi,

We are in the configuration phase of implementation of ECC 6.0.

Please suggest the roles we need to assign to FI/MM/SD/PP consultants during configuration.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Mrutyunjay,

You may need to consult with your functional consultant to give you the authorization matrix based on end users role in company and then you have to create the roles based on that matrix.

Hi Pinkle,

Thanks for your response.

But it is not for end users I am looking for ! it is for the functional people who are configuring the systems.

while they login into config client what authorizations should they have to config ?

During unit testing / Integration testing what roles should they have to carryout testing?

Please suggest.

regards

Jay

Oh sorry I missed you point.

In this case you need to discuss with function consultant and get the matrix. I dont think there is any "Out-of-the-box" role which fits their requirement.

Thanks Pinkle..

Is there any way to restrict only transactions like STMS, SU01, SPAM, SAINT and give all other authorizations.

Actually what is the general practice here.. what roles have to be used for them during configuration.

Hi Mrutyanjan,

The only way I know is to exclude this tcode in S_TCODE.

eg If you want to exclude SAINT then S_TCODE = A-R, S00-SAH, SAK-SZ, S_

This way you can exclude tcode from profile.

Hope this will help.

Yes Pinkle we can restrict !!

by restricting transaction code at S_TCODE definetly you can stop the transaction but for those which we are allowing do need many other auth_objects in the profile.. and identifying them is problem.

I want to restrict the above four transactions and want to give the rest.. is there any simple way !!!

I would appreciate if anyone share their knowledge regarding what roles they carry during configuration.... sap_all + sap_new !!

Please suggest

You can copy SAP_ALL into ZSAP_ALL and modify S_TCODE.

There is a role SAP_BC_CUS_CUSTOMIZER for customization.. I used it and believe it solves my problem. :!!
