Hello again,
I have a little problem in so much as when I use the function RFC_REMOTE_FILE in read mode, and the file that I am trying to read does not exist, my rfcexec aborts, which is a shame. Is there anything I can do to stop this happening ? Thanks for your input.

Hello Peter
Why don't you check first if the file you want to read really exists? I am sure there will be an RFC-enabled function module around for this task. If so, you only call RFC_REMOTE_FILE if the file does indeed exist.
