RFC Function module

I am creating RFC Function module, when i am click syntax error check i am getting the following messege.

You cannot use the statement "FUNCTION" in the current environment.

However, you could use the similar statement "FUNCTION-POOL".

Urgent.

Double click on the error it would take to a place where u might find a syntax - problem like a missing period..

Have you created that funtion via SE37? It seems to me you have used SE38...
