RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE (incorrect pwd)

Hi.

I'm trying to execute a report using STARTRFC command, and I don't know why... it doesn't work.

The syntax I use is:

startrfc -3 -d PRD -u <USER> -p <PWD> -c 099 -l S -h 192.168.6.2 -s 30 -F Z_FI_EDITRAN_NORMA_43

and the result of the execution is:

RFC Call/Exception: SYSTEM_FAILURE

Group       Error group 104

Key         RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE

Message     Nombre o clave de acceso incorrectos (repita la entrada al sistema)

I'm completely sure that user and password is correct (when I try to log in in dialog mode with this user, the system say shows me a message with 1 wrong attempt to log in).

Do you know what could happen? I tried with another user/password and it works...

Hi Oscar,

For executing RFC and BAPI from external system the user should be a System(Background) user.

As you said you are able to login from dialog mode, seems like the user is a dialog user. You need a system user with RFC authorizations.

If the error still persists, then check the Z_FI_EDITRAN_NORMA_43, whether this is a remote enabled function module or not. To check goto SE37 Attributes tab-> check FM type. If normal then click on remote enabled radio button, Save and Activate it.

Hi

If the same command worked for another user then the problem _must_ be with the first user.

I'm guessing an authorization issue / user settings issue, despite the error message!

Suggestions:

- Check SU01 differences between the two users

- Check the authorization differences between the two users.

- Do an SU53 on the first user, after the login failure.
