Hi all,

I created 2 clients in the same server(dev), i am just practicing IDOCs. 1 is sender and another is receiver. In the set up steps i have to give RFC connections between these 2 client. Is it possible to give RFC between the client which are present in the same server?

Yes ,it is possible.

Goto SM59 Transaction -> click on create button -> give rfc name -> select type 3 ( R/3 systems),give the ip name(or application server) ,system number.

Now use logon details -> here give other clicnt details.

Now save -> click on test connection.

now click on remote logon -> here it should go to other client automatically.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I followed all these step, but my user doesn't have enough permissions, i am planning to create new user. But now i am getting a new problem, i am unable to logon into new client with SAP, its coming like: too many failed attempts. To make sap work, what i have to do?

thank you,
