Hi Soon,

If you have a connection error in SM59, there could be several reasons :

1) The IP does not exist.

2) The firewall is not allowing you to ping the system

3) The service is not running

etc...

Jovito.

Hi Jovito,

1) The IP does not exist.

Do you mean my IP or SAP IP? How to confirm this?

2) The firewall is not allowing you to ping the system

How to verify this? However, i able to get reply from SAP IP.

3) The service is not running

I have confirm the Service is running,But, i not sure the service created for SAProuter_OSS is correct.

There can be many problems not related to Abap or even SAP Customizing. If you cannot correct the problem yourself you should raise an OSS message using component XX-SER-NET-HTL or XX-SER-NET-HTL-CON. You should also try to ping/tracert.exe the SAP IP address from your SAPROUTER server.

Remenber that SAP will be required to test connecting from their systems to yours.

(Did you open the new destination in SAPROUTER and on your Firewalls ?)

( is not the correct forum for this question, try )

Raymond

Hi Raymond,

Thanks for reply.I have raise OSS_MSG to register my IP and adding the port into my firewall.Do you means that i have to raise another OSS_MSG which related to connection problem?

If you did not close the first message, use it.

Hi Guys,

Sorry guys, i should lists out the error and step have been taken in details

First, I need to setup Maintenance Optimizer, so i register my IP with SAP. Then i create a SAProuter_OSS(register under port 3298) Service in my Server.

When i try to test the connection in OSS1, i got timeout error.

Details:

Location : SAProuter37.2 on bpecc60

Component: NI(network Interface)

Release 640

version 37

return code -93

Counter 18

Step:

- Add port (3298) in router.

when i try to test the connection in SM59, i got time out error

details:

- Error when opening an RFC connection

- Error time out occured

When i ping the IP given by SAP 194.39.131.34 on my laptop, i manage to get reply from SAP Server. Can some please advice me what could be going wrong? Thanks.
