Request to be release

Hi all,

7 months back we had deleted un-used clients from my Development server.

But, that client is having more open request (not-released).

without out releasing & archiving BASIS admins had DELETED the CLIENT.

when we tried to do any functional activity, it shows as OBJECT LOCKED in the deleted client by XXX user.

How can we release the open requests(not released) avaliable for the deleted client.

request you to guide us.

thanking you,

Raghav,

Interesting one.

Are you able to see those requests in the current client,if so try to change the owner of that request to the current one and try to release.

Hi kiran,

i had already tried by ADDING user to the Request (which was not RELEASED and belongs to DELETED client)

adding user and trying to delete not helped me.

later even tried by login in to client 400 (deleted client)

by SAP* , since there is any entry in tstc table.

so, SAP* is able to log in to deleted client (virtually)

here there is another problem,

in order to keep fresh local client copy, we RUN SHORT of DISC SPACE.

There seem to be only 2 options available here:-

1) Change the request owner to your name and then try releasing it.

2) The basis need to take ownership of it and then release it from their end.

I cannot think of anything else besides this but will try and find it and let you know if i come across something.

Thanks,

Sanjiv

Hi Sanjiv,

As a BASIS people we use to do this activity, in case of problem while applying patches.

we will take ownership and then release the request which is lying as road block for patch application.

here the case is totally different, previous support team had deleted the client, with out releasing the requests pertaining to client that has to be deleted.

this is creating problem.

now we need to delete those Open-requests belonging to deleted client.

request you kind attention on this,

thanking you in anticipation,
