Request - The table that stores various variables (modifiable)

Hi,

I am trying to find the standard table that stores various variables in the SAP system and is modifiable. I think it starts with a "T" but I can't be sure.

I think you are talking about TVARV

TVARV is Table of variables in selection criteria .

Is there a similar table that allows you to hold greater than 45 characters?

What is the best way to extract data from this table (any Function Modules, etc)?
