Client A says: i want a simple report

or

client A says: i want an interactive report.

But the best answer i can give is: find out the difference(s) between those two and you can come up with your own reasons when to choose for a simple or an interactive report.

Simple report - list data without driil down option (without further details)

Interactive report - list data showing detailed information on user request (i.e. details of an order)

Hi simople report: something like only one type of details.

interactive report : having drill down means u can go furher inside (details of a particulasr data )

once u click that record or data.

For Example:

Purchase order document and its related info is a simple report.

where as Purchase order document and its related info is a report

and if u clk any podocument then u want what all are the items underthat porder,

so under that documenmt items data is called send report or interactive of first report.

Hi madhukargupta,

1. simple report means you need not to think about after final output of the report.

2. Interactive report means there is further command handiling required after output.

Suppose, You write a report to display the details of material under the range you specified.

and after that nothing you have to do that is simple report. However if client ask you to any transaction or BDC for selected material on the output screen thats called intercative report.

Hence whose report that handle user command (interact) after output called interactive report.
