Report Variants - User-defined variables

How do we create user defined variables in Report variants. I understand I need to have the parameters or select options defined with the parameter id option. But how is the complete scenario done ?

I have to automate a process and was wondering if I could use the functionality of user defined variables. After reading the help I knew that I could use User-defined variables during variant save only where I have used parameter id during declaration of that parameter/select option. Hence the question. But when I try to do an F4 on the selection variable I dont even get a selection to choose User defined variables.

Hi,

Please follow this steps

1) Create user defined variable in TVarv table

2 ) Assign above defined variable to your report

variant by selecting variables option while

creating variant.
