Hi, In MM03, in 'Classification' view, in 'General' Table Control, for 'Destination' Value we have F4 Help. In my program, I have Destination field in my selection screen, I want the same F4 as what standard SAP is providing. In MM03, it is calling a screen and showing values on the screen on click of F4. If I use the same subroutine, it doesn't work as there are many values which need to be populated. Can you please suggest if there is any way for replicating the same F4 which Destination is having in Material document? Thanks & Regards, Adithya M.

Hi Aadhi,
What you are talking the characteristic value of a material class.
Well if is maintained for vlaue range then you will get it like this.
Go to AUSP table and enter the material no as object no [Entire 18 digit if Alpha numeric].
You will get the ATINN field for Destination.
Call FM CONVERSION_EXIT_ATINN_INPUT you will get the numeric value for it.
With this value query CAWN table and you will get the values you want.
Display using the F4 Function module.
Regards

Hi Aadhi,
In MM03, place the cursor on that field and press F1.
In the help screen, press Technical Information button.
Then in the technical information screen, check if Search Help field is available.
If it is there, you can use it for your selection screen field like:
PARAMETERS : ifield like MARA-field MATCHCODE OBJECT search_help_value.
Regards.

Hi,
You will get all the details in CAWN table but they will be stored in internal format.
Use Bapi 'BAPI_CHARACT_GETDETAIL' to get the possible values, you can get all the values and its description in Tables parameter 'CHARACTVALUESDESCR'.
You have to do the following.
When ever any value entered in the selection screen field.
In F4 logic for that field, read the entered value from the selection screen using fm 'DYNP_VALUES_READ'. If the field is not blank. Pass the value to the BAPI 'BAPI_CHARACT_GETDETAIL'.
Now move all the entries into an internal table and call fm 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'.
Thanks & Regards
