hello
I have a query that has a different name in my QAS system than my DEV system. I want to create a t-code but I need to get the dev program to be the same name as the QAS program. I am trying to rename the following
AQFKZFINANCE====GL_FRANCE=====
an I am getting "do not use special characters". error message.
is there any way to get this tcode created pointing to the program name that is in QAS or is there a way to rename the query to the name that is in QAS or is it just that I have to re-create the query with the correct name.
thanks in advance for the help

is the normal process when creating a tcode against a query to copy the query to a Z program and assign the code to the z program? the z program and the tcode will then get transported to the QAS and production system?
If the query was developed in DE1, How come different from QA?. you cant create the T.C for the query u have mentioned, if u want just need to copy the query prog to Z one and create T.C for this.

Hi Timothy,
Creation of T-code for the queries is not like creation of the queries for report.
Do not use program name for creating t-code.
I think it is the option with parameter in the transaction creation which you need to use.
Reward points if useful.

Timothy,
if is Query then it is not tthe way to create TCode. The program name you will get it from SQ01.
From Menu Query->More Functions->Generate Program
and use the same program . or you can use Display report and use it for the same.

Timothy,
The program name for a query will get generated automatically.I think you can copy the query name to a zname and then go to se93 and change the program name there to the respective t-code.It seems for a query program name we can't use special characters like underscore,try by just giving Z.
let me know if it solves the problem.

Hi Timothy
U can't rename the program of query because a name like AQFKZFINANCE====GL_FRANCE===== is not in your name convention.
The query program name shouldn't depend on the client, if the name is different is because the query name is different.
U should download the query from QA and load it to DEV.
In this way you'll have the same query in all enviroments, after you can create a tcode and assign your query to it.

Hi Timothy,
cerate the query you have in QA again in DEVEL - it goes faster than you think, I did including datasource once - 1 hour is OK.
Then assign t-code and transport.
