Are you sure you activated the program before releasing the request in Dev? Get into change mode, activate the Program & tie it to a new tr req and migrate to QA.

Did the transport have any non-zero return codes?

Yes I have activated the program before release.

Re-import.....does it mean importing the same request again?

what are return codes?

D01k950797...this is my request no.

I see the request in Q system. I selected it and assigned client to it.

Did i miss anything? do I have to do anything after assigning client.?

To my knowledge, once its released from the DEV system to QA its available. I don't know what you are doing by assigning the clients. Also iam not sure how your transports path is set. Usually it takes time to move to Quality from DEV depending on the time set up. In my case it takes half-an-hour approximatley. So, check it up. If the transport move is not successful also you will not see the changes, like some one said the return codes.

You have to add another request to this program and then you have to move the new request not the old one.

In the development system, display the transport logs.

Try these.

Activate the code in Q, you may have looked at the code too quickly.

If you were in the code before the transport is moved, then come out all the way and go back in.

Check the transport logs to see if there are any errors during import.

In development server, go to versions and do a remote comparison with the code in Q.

You should be in development system. Your remote system (production) will have only one version which should be the last transport that made to production. You will then select that remote system transport number and then again press remote comparision. You should see something like 'They are identical' or it should show you differences in different colors.

Hi Alchemi,

Yaah U cannt see the changes reflecting there,y becoz u had just released that to quality. So npw u had to import that to quality by using the tc:STMS.

goto stms->select import icon->then go with display icon->all will b displayed .

select the one that u want and go with import icon(may b 7 icon, truck symbol).

then u need to specify the quality client and password ,then work is completed.

U can then see the same there in quality...

Hi Alchemi,

From your query, I assumed the following scenario -

You have saved and activated one program in your development server. The request is also given while saving. Now you transported your request from SE10 transaction.

Once you do the transport to Quality, in quality server from STMS transaction you have imported the request in quality. The path for this in STMS is menu Overview

-> Imports -> selecting the 'Queue' of your system -> click on 'Display Import Queue (F8)’. Now here, you must have selected the request and the clicked on 'Import Request (Ctrl+F11)' button from application toolbar.

With this now the request is available in your quality system.

If above is the procedure, you followed and still you don't get the latest development in quality then you need to retransport the request. Try following -

1. In development system, goto transaction SE03.

2. From the left side tree, select Transport Organizer Tools -> Requests/Tasks -> Merge Object List

3. Now in the selection screen, give the list of tasks under your request, which was already released.

4. In the 'Merge Object Lists' screen, Select the request and click on 'Select Subtree' icon from the application toolbar. The objects will be selected now.

5. Click on Merge icon from the application toolbar. System will prompt for new request, give request.

6. Now a new request is created for your object list.

Now retransport this request this to quality.

Hope this sort out your query.
