I want to import a word file into the text node of my smartform. Please advice me the steps to do the same.

I have a word file where i have written a text . Now i want to import this file into the text window of my smartform to get the content of the file in the text window. Please suggest the steps.

Simply copy the text and paste it to text node.

Hi Amit,

We are facing some problem here regd the fonts of teh texts. They are not changing inspite of maintaining in smart styles. So we are thinking of trying to import the file and check if it works. Please advice how can i import this file.

You cannot import it like that as the Font you have there may not be applicable in SAP. Instead check following things -

1. check in the output options of the FORM ATTRIBUTES you are not specifying any style as this will be taken as default for whole form.

2. After that mention your custom style in the output options of the text node.

3. Now you have to select the whole text in the text node.

4. Apply the character format you want to use.

Check whether you have assigned the character formats correctly and you are changing the font size for the same in the smartstyle.

Check whether the same smartstyle is given in the smartform.

Check whether the smartstyle is activated or not.

You have to transport the smartstyles along with the smartfomr while moving from Development to Quality.

I didn't get what you mean by IMPORT THE FILE.

Hey Amit, Thanks for the help. The text is maintained now but in the output, i am still getting the default font. I Have checked all the steps mentioned by you. Can you advice why this is happening?

Check wether the style you are using is activated in the system or not.
