regarding RFC

hi guys,

I have created RFC functional module and executing in 46C. I want to fetch few tables from Target E47 system.

But it looks for only 46C tables. How to trace and get fetch those datas..

Ofcourse while executing program i am able to login thru RFC giving usrid pwd.

Hi,

If at all you are using the Correct RFC Destination of the Target System, You can fetch the data from the target without any problem.

What is the exact problem are you faced?

hi Prince,

i assume you have created the function module in 46c system and trying to read tables in 47E version, which i think will not happen.

You need to create the function module in 47E version to read the tables in that system. And then, you call this function module from 46C version withe 'destination 47E (or whatever is the RFC destination for 47E).

If you just want to read table entries from another SAP system you can use standard function modules:

<b>(1) TABLE_ENTRIES_GET_VIA_RFC</b>

(2) RFC_GET_TABLE_ENTRIES

Preferably you use the first function module since it allows to select data and returns records up to 2048 characters long.

If you want to read the meta data of the DB table on the remote system which may differ from your local system you can use the RFC-enabled function module <b>DDIF_FIELDINFO_GET</b>.
