regarding master data

Hi Friends,

is it possibleto transfer master data from one client to another client(suppose dev to prod ) .Otherwise we have to run our bdc program to all clients.

Please clarify how to do it.

Hi,

U wont be having any master data in the dev server.

U may have some data to test ur program. Sometimes data will be provided to u to test ur program.

Master data will be in the production server.

both dev and quality server will have limited amount of data to work around with.

Hi,

lets say, u wrote ur BDC program in Dev server. U will test it there with some sample data given to u in a text or excel file.

If u think its working properly, u will then transport ur BDC program to testing or production server ; where ever they want u to send it. u will do it using workbench request. t code is SE09. u will release ur BDC program by using the this tcode. hope u know all about transport requests.

then by using the Tcode STMS[ Transport Management System] u will send it to whatever server ..quality or production..

Experts if i am wrong please enlighten me.
