Regarding idoc segments modifcation

Hi,

I created a segment zdh_name in we31. Then i released the idoc segment. Also i created a corresponding idoc type and released it and also created a message type .

When an idoc is created for a Purchase order in me21n the segment e1edp01 in idoc should be replaced by my created segment zdh_name with some value.

I have tried using enhancement MM06E001 in the function module exit EXIT_SAPLEINM_002 with the following code.

case int_edidd.

when 'E1EDP01'.

int_edidd-segnam = 'ZDH_NAME'.

int_edidd-sdata = 'DHARUN'.

endcase.

Help me to get the solution.

Hi,

You cannot replace the E1EDP01 segment with custom segment in standard IDOC type / Message type assgined to purchase order output.

Actually i created a custom idoc type zdh_or4 in which i have deleted the E1EDP01 segment and inserted the custom segment .

I am using the custom idoc type and the custom message type only to create the PO idoc in the partner profile. But still i could not find the custom segment in the generated outbound idoc.

Hi,

Copy the standard outbound process code & associated function module. Do the modifications in the custom function module to populate the segment which you have created and added to the custom idoc type. Map the new process code with the output type of Purchase Order.

Hi Dharun,

Let us know the exact requirement. As Vinod said, it's not possible to replace a segment in standard idoc/msg type, but you can still add the custom segment by using idoc extention and mentioned exit (by you).

If you want to use custom idoc type, you should copy the FM IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS into Z and change according to ur segments and create new out bound process code and attach it to the z FM.
