Regarding Function Module parameters disabling

Hi all,

I have a Z function module already someone developed. After i go to the change mode, i cant able to change any of the parameters(import,export,changing,tables).All are been blocked. But the source code is not grayed. I dont how it has done. Can you please tell me how it is blocked for changes. I need to change the parameters..

Disabled means here the parameters are completely grayed..

Kindly help me.. ASAP..

those are global parameters, But that shud not matter.

You should change the parameters from TABS, import - export - changing - tables ...

Save after changing the parameters, then the pattern in the source code will automatically adjusted.

Also, verify if the Edit Lock checkbox is checked in the Attributes..

I mean in the tabs where we create the parameters, those lines are been grayed.(the table control).not in the source code..

i want to change the parameter name or type. I am unable to do that... how can i change that..

Also how can we gray out the parameters in the tab import export etc....

check there if it would workout

like in export and import parameters

Can you tell us if the whole rows are greyed or only the rows with parameters are greyed out??

If not all rows are greyed out, you can do a CTRL+Y copy all the rows, delete all rows, paste again and then change.

just guessing if the parameters are part of the function group .. ie global and not just local to the function module?

not all the rows are greyed out. Only the parametered rows are grayed out. And also i cannot even delete those rows.

I found the reason for that...

there is a option in them menu bar, If that function module is released then these happens....

Thanks for sharing that info.. I just tried it.. ie Released the fm.. the parameters were greyed out like you said.. cancelled the release & activated it.. now it is back to normal.. ie I can del/add parameters..

PL see this <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/d1/801f50454211d189710000e8322d00/frameset.htm">SAP Help</a> on Releasing a function module.. the scenario we have just seen is not mentioned in there!

One option would be to try as suresh suggested.

Another would be to switch off the modification assistence ( if it is transported from different systems )
