Hi,
while uploading data to sap we have options like LSMW(different methods) and BDC(different methods), now my question is in both the cases we use flat file.
LSMW: while using this we have a separator option as tabulator or comma like....
BDC: While using this how can we specify that the flat file separator as tab space delimited
Thanks,
Anil

Hi Anil,
while using BDC ,
we upload the file using FM 'GUI_UPLOAD'
inthis FM there is a exporting parameter named as
has_field_separator.
we have to set its value as 'X'
hope it solves your problem'

Hi
Anil in BDC like LSMW u cant fgind any delimiter options but insted u have to write respective logic like see
fisrt u will get he entire flat file as online in the one internal table then by looping tht table
loop at it_main_tab.
split line into var1, var2, ... separated by comma.
append vari, var2.. to it_req_table.
endloop.
like tht u have to write logic it will be very easy
plzz reward if it is usefull to u
for any further quiries my mail id [email protected]

Hi,
Before doing BDC you have get clear picture of your flat file structure and the seperator based on which seperator the field values are concatenated or else make a field for seperator in your selection screen, before uploading the flat file data you can mention the seperator which you have used in the flat file.
Even in LAMW also you must know the flat file is comma seperated or some other seperator, then only you can mention the seperator.
Reward if useful.
Thanks,
Sreeram.
