Hi Deva,

Pay scale type represents the pay scale regulations or collective agreement according to which employees are paid such as Chemical or Metal industry and is defined by two-character keys that are defined for each region.

Pay grade is used in the The Planned Compensation infotype (1005) which is divided into three planned compensation types:

--> Pay grade

--> Pay scale and

--> Direct

In pay grade, you can store information from the salary structure, such as the pay grade and pay grade level. You can enter the pay grade and pay grade level that the job or position is to be assigned to. The system suggests the salary range, that is the lowest and highest amount that will be paid for the job or position and the reference salary.

In pay scale, you can store information from the pay scale structure, such as the pay scale area, type, group, and level. The system then suggests the minimum and maximum salary or wage for the job or position.

Thanks,
