Reg IDOC Status message?

Hi all,

I am using LSMW with BAPI for PO upload. the iDOC is posted successfully, but the mesage in status record does not show the PO number created.

I am using inbound process code as BAPI and iDOC type PORDCR101.

What needs to be done so that the PO number gets populated in the iDOC status record.

Hi,

Try this.

Whenever u set the idoc status to succes or failure, u can also append message to idoc structure.

Ex:

If u r using the bdidocstat, there are fields like msgv1, msgv2, msgv3 and msgv4.

You can set the required status message for the idoc by appending the values to the above fields.

Try the below thing:

while Idoc posting sucess message will contain the PO number.

Please pass the success messages into the structure BDIDOCSTAT's

MSGV1

MSGV2

MSGV3

MSGV4

Hi,

I am using CREATEFROMDATA1 method of Business Object BUS2012. This method creates iDOC of type PORDCR101.

Is there any other process code for this iDOC type. I didn't find the structure you mentioned to fetch the msgv1....

Hi,

Once all the processing is over, you will set the IDOC status to successful. That will be the exporting parameter of your function module. For that purpose, you may be using a structure. Check tat structure.

Please feel free to ask again, if you are not able to find it.

hi some times when we are using the bapis.....say creating a planned order...if we passdata to the bapi ...it creates a planned order there ....but the status is still ...51

now get the return value from the bapi ...means if it creates the order populate the status as 53 ..else populate the status 51....here populate means over write the status of the idoc.
