Hi Vanitha,
you have to reduce it through the FormStyle (Smartstyle) used in your smartforms, Go to that smartstyle, select paragraph format, find the line spacing there under the indents and spacing tab, then you can make it as your need, if that smartstyle has been used in other programs also , then make a copy of that for your requirements, and make necessary changes as suggested.

Actually this much space should not come.
Can you please paste the screenshot of Paragraph format which you are using to display the header info. Just want to check Space Before and Space After settings.
And also check that there is no unnecessary spaces in the Text Elements for Headers.

Hi Vanitha,
in smartstyle just go to the Character format and choose the character format used in your header area in your table, then go to its Font and change it and see the output.

See if you have mentioned the Spaces as 0.00 itself then this space ( below the header ) should not come.
You need to figure out why that extra space is coming ( this was your actual question right ).
I haven't faced this situation before. It always use to be equidistant from the upper and lower margin , until and unless I mention some spacing.
Until and unless you have coded some spaces in the text elements used in the Header Info.

Hi,
As per my understanding....u have a main window and in the main window you are using a Table,
For the header in the table have u created a row , if yes then u might have assigned the default line type for that or any new line type for the Row....now in order to reduce the height of the header in the table for that ROW... Double click on the table click on the details button...there u can adjust the height...check the screen shot below.

Hi Naren,
the method you have suggested works if there are templates, but in case of Tables these stuffs can be adjusted through the styles used in smartform, as in case of table data flow automatically based on data size, so height is dynamic, you can't adjust it as you can see in your screenshot there is no column for height.

Hi Sanjeev,
Thanks for the Input, but when she is using tables inside the main window header...you can set the minimum height property...if u can see in the screen shot.
As she mentioned she is using it for Headings (I Guess Static)...i think we can set the minimum height.
Thanks for the input anyways, it helps me in learning.

Hi Naren,
whatever you are showing , just see yourself by putting some values in Minimum Height, see what happens, she is talking about headers only.......see yourself that by doing it, is the only header part get reduced.
Please understand that in case of Tables , we can't restrict line type individually directly in smartforms
if we wants to do any changes in tables properties, we can do it through smartstyles easily, and yes we all are here to learn, i will appreciate if i will get any good method from you to learn.

You could check the paragraph format for the header texts.(Indent and Spacing in Smart Styles-paragraph format)
2014 May 29 6:57 AM
Hi Vanitha,
You can't change the height of the row in a window , so you can go through with template.

Hi Krishna,
you can adjust the height in tables through smartstyles.
2014 May 29 7:52 AM
Hi,
Do you have to do that on a cell basis or is there a way to assign the style to the whole row at once ?
Regards.

Hi Eitan,
the problem is not raised by me, actually she wants to reduce her header height for cell specific.
2014 May 29 8:19 AM
Hi Kumar,
I am still learning....
Is this how you do it ? On a cell basis ?
Using Smart style as you mention:
I chose to increase the size .

Hi Eitan,
this could be a way, but as most of the smartstyle is used in another place too, so what i have suggested is to make a copy of it, and make a changes in that font which has been used in printing headers, what you think about this process ?
2014 May 29 8:37 AM
Hi,
I always create a different style for each form .
Following the rule "Divide and conquer"....
Saying that there might be a situation where a single style will be used in multiple forms so we have the same look & Feel.

And that is the point i have already suggested in my previous posts, clearly i have mentioned to create a copy of that smartstyle to use in this smartforms.

Hi Kumar,
Thanks for the info.
I learned something today so it is a good day...

I was pretty sure for this and for this reasons only I replied earlier to you with below comments :
Actually this much space should not come.
Can you please paste the screenshot of Paragraph format which you are using to display the header info. Just want to check Space Before and Space After settings.
And also check that there is no unnecessary spaces in the Text Elements for Headers.
But I really got to know some out of box views of other members while dealing with such problems .
Sometimes a simple thinking is just enough I guess ( at least at the very earlier stages while dealing with a problem )
