recording-skipping mandatory fields

hi,

is there any possibility to skip mandatory fields while recording a transaction.

my requriment is in xk01 transaction i want to skip the field SORTL(MANDATORY).because my flat file does not contain this field.

Compulsory you have to pass values to mandatory fields. In ur flat file pass ur fields along with mandatory fields.

I dont think it is possible to skip mandatory fields while recordsing , my reasoning for it is , if that is possible then we can upload any data and there will be no data consistency.

The fields are made mandatory via the configuration by the functional consultants and I am sure there will be a business reason behind the same.

Without filling in the mandatory fields, you cannot complete a transaction, whether its a online transaction or you are uploading the data.
