Read fields in calling program using field symbols

Hi experts,

I need a refresher of my memory on this: I would like to access more data in a user exit than is provided through the import parameters and tables.

I remember a trick involving field symbols which allows you access to all of te calling program's internal tables and structures. Can anyone help me on this?

I know it's possible because I've done it before, just can't remember how.
